This past Tuesday night, my fiancé and I capped off my birthday by going to dinner at Ruth’s Chris. It was the perfect way to end what had been a remarkable day and even more remarkable year! We started the day by getting our marriage license first thing n the morning (!!!!). And all the details are coming together so well for our wedding on May 20th, thanks to the never-ending help and support of my mom and our wedding planner! Between getting engaged in September, moving in together in October, then deciding in February to set a wedding date 3 months out, our lives have been so full of joy and excitement. Now that our to-do list has dwindled, I absolutely cannot wait for the wedding. And I’m even happier about spending all of my birthdays to come with my one and only. Can’t wait to share more wedding stuff as it gets closer!
J. Crew Summer 2016 and Pre-Fall 2016
I popped into my local J.Crew this weekend while killing time waiting for a friend. So many unexpected slam dunks for a dress lover like me!

J. Crew Racerback tank dress in stripe. This one has been out for awhile but i’ve only now discovered it. Perfect for weekends at the theme parks and comfy yet pulled together enough for working from home. Brought this one home with me.
J. Crew Spaghetti-strap dress in polka dot, size 12. This is a grown up version of an H&M version I’ve worn into the ground. The hidden elastic at the waist makes it ultra flattering. Waiting on a full price promo before ordering this in a size up.
J.Crew cap-sleeve dress in shirting stripe, size 12. A sleeper hit. Cotton is soft yet ultra polished and I love the preppy vibe. I had them order me this one in a size up, as it slightly pulled in the back.
Berry Bonanza Smoothie with Nutriclean Complete Greens
When I’m not in the mood for a green smoothie (previously seen here) but still want something loaded with antioxidants that will curb my sweet tooth, I turn to what I call the Berry Bonanza:
- Medium banana, 1 whole
- Publix Greenwise frozen mixed berries, 1 cup
- Nutriclean Complete Greens powder – 1-3 scoops (each scoop is the equivalent of 2 servings of veggies)
- Honey, to taste (optional)
- Ice cubes, 1 large handful (optional)
Blend on low setting to mix ingredients, then switch to high to smooth it out. Add matching nail polish if you feel like it 🙂
Power Green Smoothie with Nutriclean Complete Greens
This smoothie, which I’ve plafully dubbed the “little green monster,” is my favorite smoothie as of late. Especially since I’m incorporating more and more greens into my diet! Here are the approximate measurements I use:
- Medium banana, 1 whole
- Lite canned peaches, frozen, 1 cup
- Canned pineapple – 1/3 cup
- Publix Greenwise spinach – 1 large handful
- Nutriclean Complete Greens powder – 1-3 scoops (each scoop is the equivalent of 2 servings of veggies)
- Honey, to taste (optional)
- Ice cubes, 1 small handful (optional)
Blend well and enjoy.
